What’s the BIG NEWS IN 2019?
I’m super excited to announce the return of the weekly box of mixed veggies this summer in the CSA Farmshare!
How does that work you ask?
Here are the basic details. You sign up and pay before the season (like now). Veggies you pick up every week, on Wednesday. Meat pick up happens three dates during the season, each one after slaughter. You can choose a strictly vegetable share, or a meat/vegetable combination share. Vegetables come in two size shares, both can be combined with the one size of meat share.
CHI’S FARM provides a summer season of 20 weeks of produce, from early May to late October. We offer two sizes of shares. Family (or full share) members receive a one pound bag of salad mix and usually 4 or 5 additional vegetables. Sweetheart ( or half share) members receive a half pound bag of salad mix and usually 2 or 3 additional vegetables. The contents of our salad mix will vary with the season, with a foundation of fabulous baby lettuces combined with lots color and texture added from other complimentary greens. The other vegetables will also vary, but mostly are the more well known, popular items (sorry, no sunchokes or kohlrabi). Check out the webstand for online sign up and payment, or email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional questions.
Bent Gate Farms provides three installments of ground meat. Each Meatshare installment will include one 10 pound box of ground meat. July and October will be 100% grass fed ground beef, September will be organically fed, pastured raised ground pork. (Exact dates TBD but will be included in your regular Wednesday pick-up.) Sign up for the meatshare in combination with either size vegetable share from CHI’S FARM.
CHI’S FARM spring season of the CSA Farmshare will be 6 weeks of vegetables that you must sign up for separately. You may do so at the same time as signing up for your main season CSA Farmshare. Check out the webstand for online sign up and payment, or email email@example.com for additional questions.
Veggies for sale a la carte at the farm stand!!! Yes, it is true! You will be able to stop in at the farm stand and see what we have for sale that we are harvesting fresh at that time of the year. We are improving and expanding our refrigerated space to allow for more veggie display space.
