Chi’s Farm Official CSA Policies

Signing Up – When you sign up with Chi’s Farm via Shopify, a secure, online member profile is created for you with your share options, your pick-up location, and your account activity.

Payments – We bill your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit or debit card the same day you sign up for a CSA share, as well as when you select additional for-purchase items in the online store. It’s automatic and you will get a statement by email. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Our order site is run by Shopify.

Picking Up Your Order – Please remember to pick up your order or have a friend or family member do so. When you pick up at your selected location, check in at the sign in sheet (you will learn more about this depending on your pickup location) and proceed to collect your share. You really should come pick up at the farm as much as possible, we will be eating your pizza for you if you don’t!

Ordering Extra – If you want to purchase extra items, you have two options. First, you may shop from the cooler at the farmstand (open every day, dawn to dusk). Second, you can order online to be sure you can get what you want. You have until Monday morning at 5:00am to make your selections using the online store. If you do not manage to order those extra items by the deadline, we will not have time to organize the harvest for you.

Missing Your Pick Up – If you cannot make your pick-up time, call, text, or email to let us know what time you will be able to pick up your box.  If you were scheduled to pick up at the farm, your share will be available at the farm stand for 48 hours if need be (try to get there in a day for fresh’s sake). If you or an agent you choose (friend or family member, perhaps), cannot pick up your share, it will be donated to the local Food Bank. We’re sorry but we cannot give credit for boxes that are not picked up. Don’t worry, the produce will not go to waste.

Changing Your Pick Up Location – If you want to change your pick up location, please do so 2 days before your pick-up day. If you switch and then want to switch back, you’ll need to contact us again to do so.

Vacation and Suspension Holds – It is your responsibility to find someone to pick up your share when you are gone on vacation, or otherwise cannot collect your share on time. As life happens to us all, for emergencies, call Scott at 360-477-2784 or email at csa@chisfarm.com.

Communications – Chi’s Farm communicates with you via email on a regular basis to inform you of a scheduled pick up. Sometimes we will need to send out alerts about your order or inform you about happenings on our farm. By becoming a member of our CSA, you are agreeing to open and read all email communications as soon as you see them since much of the information is time sensitive (like what the special pizza of the week will be!)

Schedule Changes – We will give you plenty of notice about schedule changes. Please take note that the vegetable share WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE the first week of August. Scott and Lana will be busy enjoying some far off land that week. The regular schedule will resume the following week. 

Returning Your Box – Please return your box when you pick up your next Chi’s Farm CSA share to your pick-up location.

Privacy Policy – We do not sell, rent or give our email list, customer list or any personal /financial information to anyone. EVER! The mere idea disgusts us. Obviously this should be part of the organic certification standard (but isn’t).

Our Guarantee – Chi’s Farm strives to provide you with the freshest, most delicious produce possible. We guarantee our produce for quality and freshness, and we pride ourselves in providing “most excellent” customer service. If for any reason you are unhappy with anything regarding our vegetables, please contact Scott at 360-477-2784 or csa@chisfarm.com. We will be happy to give you a credit for any product that does not meet your standards. we aim to exceed your expectations each and every week. In addition, if we give you a vegetable that is foreign to you without appropriate culinary instruction, please feel free to email us for culinary advice or post a question to our facebook page. Though we cannot guarantee the success of your cooking endeavors, we want to set up you for success.

Refunds – We have to plan months in advance to grow this amazing produce for you. We spend a great deal of time, effort, and intention growing your share, and use your membership fee to fund that growth. Therefore, once the season begins we will not offer refunds.
